The Admissions Process
The number one question that we receive from our new admissions as they begin to make the decision toward a sober life is, “How do I get started?”. The decision to change your life into one of physical, mental and spiritual wellness is one of the most challenging that you will ever make. It will take an enormous amount of strength and courage. The good news is, you will not be taking this journey alone. As soon as you reach out to one of the incredible addiction counselors here at Royal Life Centers, you will soon realize that you have an entire team at your side. There is a support system waiting for you to show you the way to sober living.
So let’s talk about what you can expect when you begin your journey.
The Admissions Call
Your first step is to reach out to us by calling 877-732-6837. Our admissions coordinators are available to speak with you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And don’t worry, every conversation is completely confidential per HIPAA compliance.
Our counselors will start by asking you about yourself and your current situation. It is critical to be as honest as you can be, so that our team can fully understand how we can help you and provide the best possible care. This is also your opportunity to learn more about us, our processes and receive answers to any of the questions you or your loved ones will have.
The next step will be for us to learn a few details so we can create your chart. Here is what we will need:
- First and Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Insurance Provider
Once we have all of your info, we will review your insurance information to verify the benefits it will provide. This will help you and your loved ones prepare for what, if any, your responsibility will be after your insurance. Once this information is verified, we can talk about your deductible information and out of pocket costs.
To verify your insurance, we will need:
- Your Full Legal Name
- Date of Birth
- Address and Phone Number
- Insurance Provider
- Plan Type
- Member ID#
- Group ID
- Social Security Number
If you have a state policy, we will determine which of our facilities will be the best for you.
The Pre-Screening Assessment is where we learn your medical history. It is imperative that you give us as much detail as you can, so we can fully understand the care you will need. As with every conversation that we have, this is strictly confidential. We will ask you about what substances you have taken, what you are currently using and your overall medical history. By providing this information, we will know how to build your plan of care. Be thorough! Make sure you tell us everything, because every drug interacts with the body different, especially when under the influence of other substances.
Finally, we will schedule you to come into the facility and tell you what to bring so that we can get you started on your new life of wellness.
Some important things to note:
- Tours: Many people ask for an individual tour. However, due to HIPAA compliance, we are unable to give a full tour until you are admitted into our care. That being said, we will allow you and your loved ones to meet the entirety of our staff before you start.
- Transportation: You will need to provide your own transportation to our facility, however, you cannot be the one to drive yourself. We encourage you to have your support advocate bring you if they are able. If you are coming from out of town, we can help arrange transport from the airport or train station for you.
- If we are NOT the right facility for you, we will make sure to find you the help you need by referring you to one that is.
If you or someone you know is struggling with a substance abuse addiction of any kind, please reach out to us at (877)-RECOVERY or 877-732-6837. Our admission specialists make themselves available to take your call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Because We Care.
