At Royal Life Centers, we understand that addiction affects not just the individual but their entire family. With this in mind, we’ve dedicated time and energy to provide resources for families specifically designed to help people navigating the complexities of a loved one’s recovery journey. Here, you will find an extensive collection of articles, guides, and toolkits aimed at providing support, understanding, and strategies to foster a healthy and supportive environment for everyone involved.
Our family resources are curated by experts with firsthand experience in addiction recovery and family dynamics. These materials cover a wide range of topics from recognizing the signs of addiction and understanding its psychological impacts, to practical advice on communication, setting boundaries, and finding effective support groups. Whether you’re looking for ways to support your loved one during treatment or seeking guidance on self-care to maintain your own well-being, our resources are here to guide you every step of the way.
We believe that informed support from family members can significantly improve the recovery process for themselves and their loved one. We invite you to explore these resources for families with your needs in mind. Together, we can build a strong foundation for healing and hope.
Resources For Families
Families will, of course, want to check in on their loved one and their progress, but HIPAA laws prevent us from releasing guest information without their written consent. We do have several resources and suggestions to support our Royal Life families:
- Please visit us on our Facebook page for additional resources and support.
Our Facebook page shares resources, event information, industry updates, and voices of hope. We strive to stay available on our social media accounts to be there for our guests and their families, answering any questions or addressing concerns as they come.
- If you have not already, please take the time to read about how addiction is a family disease and its impact on the family as a whole. This resource is the first step to understanding your loved one’s addiction. At Royal Life Centers, we are dedicated to educating individuals on the topic of addiction— education is the primary way to end the stigma around alcohol and drug addiction. We can share many more helpful resources upon request.
- We recommend finding local Al-Anon meetings and sharing your experience, strength, and hope with others. There are meetings in person and online. These local meetings are akin to support groups, created specifically for the family and friends who have a loved one in addiction/recovery. These Al-Anon meetings will provide families with a network full of other people who can support them as their loved one goes through the recovery process.
If your loved one has a substance use disorder, please do not hesitate to contact us at (888) 716-4070 about beginning recovery. We’re here to answer any of your questions about addiction treatment Because We Care.
